    Snow tonight! Walk? Ski? anyone?

So it appears that there is snow in the Wellington hills… This is a complete novelty for Wellington.  To celebrate this novelty a few of us are planning a walk in the snow tonight!  Maybe even take skis (probably just to carry).  If you are interested and keen let me know.  You will need windproof and waterproof gear particularly a good rain coat and over trousers

Jealous! I'm sitting in Beijing in very humid 30°C ... would prefer snow!

    Have fun!

    Wednesday... Walk? Ski? Anyone?

Who is up for more skiing on Wednesday?  Conditions are looking good with more snow on the way

Last night we went up Kaukau following a 4WD track up from Chartwell. There was quite a lot of snow all the way up it.  We walked all the way to the top and found a basinand did about 5 – 6 runs skiing and boarding down that.  We then went around a bit further and did some more runs in another basin.  After that we skied all the way back down the 4wd track to the car.  There was amazing snow coverage up there. I don’t think there will be too many people who have used the Kaukau ski field!  A late night but super good fun. So more fun on Wednesday night anyone?
